Liberia’s Deputy Education Minister flown to Ghana for Covid-19 treatment
Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Administration in Liberia, Latim Da-Thong has been flown to Ghana to receive treatment for the COVID-19 virus.
Salt 95.9 FM has gathered Mr Da-thong was flown into the country over the weekend after both countries had what has been described as a “diplomatic arrangement”.
Mr Da-thong had to be flown here because his condition deteriorated.
According to Liberia’s Front Page Africa newspaper, Mr Da-thong is being treated at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra and is said to be stable.
Meanwhile Liberia’s Education Minister, Ansu Sonii is also undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in Liberia.
Liberia has confirmed 652 coronavirus cases with 34 deaths while Ghana has recorded 14,568 COVID-19 confirmed cases with 95 deaths and 10,907 recoveries.
