After two years in the music industry, Ruff Town Records signee, Wendy Shay has described how hard it was for her to gain and enjoy the recognition she has now.
The artiste who was speaking with Akua Sika on Salt 95.9 FM said she faced a lot of challenges when she got into the industry in 2018.
“The beginning was challenging for me because I didn’t know the Ghanaian music terrain well. I was never an underground act so I didn’t really have that experience to guide me at the mainstream level” – She said
Wendy Shay said the challenges she encountered at the beginning helped her figure out the dynamics of the industry and that has since shaped her career.
With over 20 songs now, the ‘Uber driver’ hitmaker said she has ‘found her grounds in the industry’ describing her self as the queen of music in Ghana.
Meanwhile, she declined to comment on her supposed ‘beef’ with her former record label mate Fantana saying “the truth will eventually come out someday”.
