Lynx Entertainment signee KiDi has disclosed he is among the many Ghanaian musicians guilty of sampling songs of other artists without their permission.
In an interview with Sharon Onella on Accra based Radio GIJ, the Odo hit maker admitted it was wrong that such things were going on in the industry.
According to him its not right that artists sample songs of other people without their consent a problem he attributed to the lack of measures in place to check such things and the fact that things are taken for granted in Ghana.
“I’m guilty of this offence to be honest. I know we are to do better with that but sometimes; we overlook some of these things because we live in a part of the world where we overlook the importance of seeking permission. It’s wrong and we can do better.” – He said
KiDi charged his colleagues in the industry to start doing the right things.
Speaking on his upcoming projects, the song writer and producer said his much anticipated album titled sugar will be released soon. According to him, it will have 14 songs with various collaborations from other musicians.
He also disclosed that he is currently working on an EP with Kuami Eugene and they will soon release it.
