Businessman and philanthropist Charles Ohene Kwame Frimpong has announced his intention to run for the Asante Akyem North Parliamentary Seat in the 2024 general elections.
According to him, he has received numerous phone calls from constituents, including supporters of both the NDC and NPP, urging him to run for Member of Parliament because they believe he can bring development to the constituency.
These calls have persisted for a long time, but initially, he didn’t feel the timing was right. However, he now believes it’s the appropriate time to respond to these appeals.
He mentioned that he has decided to contest after prayerful consideration and discussions with a few individuals.
Mr. Frimpong has however not disclosed the political party under whose ticket he will be running.
