Fans of BA United assaulted referee Maxwell Hansen after he awarded a penalty against them in their Division One League encounter against RTU on Sunday.
Referee Hansen could be seen in a video, which has gone viral on social media, running for his life after fans invaded the pitch following the penalty decision.
But the fans got hold of Hansen.

It was in the first half and the referee had no option but to reverse his decision for the game to continue at the Sunyani Coronation Park.
The game was suspended after the first half because referee Hansen and other match officials did not to show up for the second, according to reports.
The irate fans are said to have clashed with the military outside the park.
