Democracy is expressed through the power of the thumb so under no circumstance should anyone engage in electoral violence or insults, Salt FM boss, Ohene Kwame Frimpong has said.
He has charged the youth not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to foment problems during and after elections.
Mr Frimpong said the youth must desist from engaging in any activity that will cause destruction to the country in any way.
According to him, if you disagree with another person’s political views, violence is not the way to express it. He said in western countries, peaceful protests and placards are ways to go about it.
“We live in a democratic country. When you don’t agree with the policies of someone in office, you should not get violent but rather express your dissatisfaction through peaceful protests just as it is done in the west. Otherwise, you can wait till elections and vote against them” , Ohene Kwame Frimpong said on Salt FM
