Thomas Partey out as Otoo Addo names squad for AFCON qualifiers, Japan tournament

Ahead of Ghana’s upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Central Africa Republic next month and a four nation tournament in Japan, Coach Otto Addo has named his squad

Black Stars skipper Andre Ayew and Benjamin Tetteh makes a return to the team after missing out of the 2022 World Cup playoff against Nigeria due to suspension.

Thomas Partey has also been left out of the squad after the Arsenal Midfielder sustained an injury which ruled him out of the closing part of the season.

Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo and Augustine Okrah have been handed their debut call up by Coach Otto Addo for the upcoming games.

The Black Stars take on Madagascar in their opening game on June 1 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium before traveling for the second game against Central Africa Republic
