Salt Fire Sports: King Faisal FC deny cutting salaries of players

Ghana Premier League side King Faisal have denied cutting salaries of players as reported in the media.

According to the PRO of the club, Awal Mohammed Demonza, the club decided to deduct GHS 100.00 from each players salary to ensure that all of its staff were paid for March.

Speaking to Dennis Asamoah on the maiden edition of Salt Fire Sports, Awal said the club will repay the GHS 100.00 deducted from each player in April.

‘King Faisal has not implemented a pay cut. Reject such reports’ – he said

He said the deduction was done after both management and the players agreed that it was necessary to ensure each member of the team receives their pay.

Awal added the club had put measures in place to ensure that April and May salaries are paid within the shortest possible time.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association is yet to decide if the Ghana Premier League will resume after the Coronavirus outbreak forcefully caused a break in the season.
