Reign Concert: I refused to allow Samini, Stonebwoy to perform – Bulldog

Written by on October 15, 2018

Contrary to claims by Samini and Stonebwoy that they wanted to perform at Shatta Wale’s Reign Concert but the self-acclaimed dancehall king refused, Head of Artists and Repertoire (A&R) at Zylofon Music, Bulldog, says he rather refused the gesture.

Speaking on Hitz FM, Bulldog said he was very much aware the two musicians were at the venue and wanted to perform but he did not allow them for security reasons.

According to him, organisers did a groundwork and realized it would be unhealthy to grant them the request.

“The fan base is different from the artiste. If we had allowed them, this morning the story would have been something,” he said.

By way of making a strong argument, Bulldog claimed he picked up information that fans were going to vanderlise Sarkodie’s vehicle if he turned up for the event. The fans, according to Bulldog, were angry at Sarkodie for releasing a song targeted at Shatta Wale.

The story, he said, would not have been any different if Samini and Stonebwoy had mounted the stage considering the rivalry.

Prior to his comment, Shatta Wale had apologized Samini and Stonebwoy, for their inability to perform at the concert, stressing he was not aware of their intention.

His apology however attracted a sharp response from Stonebwoy who labelled him a liar.
