Oppong Nkrumah dismisses allegations of politicising food distribution

Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has debunked allegations that the distribution of food to the vulnerable in areas affected by the partial lockdown has been politicized.
The Minister has therefore called for evidence from persons making such allegations to back their claims.
Member of Parliament for Klottey-Korley, Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings on Tuesday, April 14 2020, accused government of politicising the distribution of relief items meant for persons who have been badly affected by the partial lockdown.
Reacting to this on Accra based TV3, Hon. Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah said, the allegations being made are not substantial since there are no evidences to back them.
According to the minister, it is a known fact that distributors of the food are having a hard time observing social distancing but what he cannot validate is distribution of relief items based on party lines.
“The evidence that we are seeing at first glance makes it difficult to take that allegation hook, line and sinker.” – He said
