Ohene Kwame Frimpong completes reconstruction of Agogo Central mosque; official opening today
The expansion of the Agogo Central Mosque, pledged by businessman and philanthropist Ohene Kwame Frimpong, has been successfully finished.
Today, Friday, January 5, 2024, marks the grand opening of the newly reconstructed mosque, with a distinguished lineup of Islamic leaders expected to attend.
The project which officially commenced in October 2021 after a visit from the National Chief Imam to offer prayers at the site, was estimated to cost over GHS 300,000.
Upon commencing the mosque’s reconstruction, Mr. Frimpong received resounding cheers from both Christian and Muslim communities, acknowledging and applauding his gesture despite his Christian background.
