NPP failed to put Ghana’s interest first in banking sector cleanup – Asiedu Nketia

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party of failing to put the interests of Ghanaians first in its supposed banking sector cleanup.

Mr Asideu Nketia who was speaking with Bonohene Baffour Awuah on Agoo TV said the government failed to thoroughly think through its decision to revoke licenses of local banks.

According to him, the move was not in the interest of Ghanaians because it is detrimental to have the country’s banking sector in the hands of foreigners and not nurture indigenous banks.
