No Mask, No Entry – Greater Accra REGSEC imposes compulsory wearing of masks
The Greater Accra Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has directed that all persons within the region wear face/nose masks to help minimize the spread of the Corona virus.
In a statement signed by the regional minister, Ismael Ashitey following an emergency meeting held yesterday, April 22, the regional security council said the directive for all Ghanaians to wear face/nose masks must be adhered to.
The statement also encouraged commercial vehicle drivers to ensure passengers are wearing these masks before they are allowed onboard vehicles.
The RESEC has also directed markets, malls, offices, lorry stations among others to boldly display ‘NO FACE MASK, NO ENTRY’ at their various entrances.
Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah on Wednesday said government will deploy security personnel to ensure compliance with safety protocols across the country.
