NDC suspends Allotey Jacobs

The National Democratic Congress has suspended its former Central Regional Chairman, Allotey Jacobs.

The party said in a statement that Allotey Jacobs is being suspended for his persistent anti-party conduct.

The outspoken member of the NDC urged members of his party to quit attacking President Akufo-Addo over a pledge he made to construct 88 hospitals in one year.

Allotey Jacobs who was speaking on Peace FM’s morning show advised members of the party to rather adopt a wait-and-see approach to know whether the project would even materialise.

His comments which did not go down well with other members of the party who were on the panel triggered a reaction from the party’s National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi who stated strongly that Allotey Jacobs did not represent the NDC and his submissions did not reflect the position of the party.
