Miro Forestry is set to donate another batch of public protective equipments and sanitary items to residents and health facilities within the Asante-Akim North District and other districts it operates in.
The districts to benefit are Sekyere Afram Plains, Sekyere Kumawu, Asante Akyem North, Sekyere Central and Mampong Municipal.
Speaking Exclusively to Salt FM’s Daniel Nii Ankrah, Community and Social Affairs Manager for the company, Ntim Adjei Opoku said the move is part of the company’s desire to see to it that citizens are protected from contracting the coronavirus.
He said the new batch of items which includes Veronica buckets, gloves, tissues, face masks, hand sanitizers and carbonated soaps will be donated to health facilities within the five districts it operates in.
Mr. Ntim Adjei said the company has also procured seeds of maize, groundnut and cowpea to support farmers in the community. According to him, they decided on the three after a meeting with the farmers in the communities.
Mr. Ntim Adjei Opoku said the company has in the past since the outbreak of the coronavirus donated over 500 veronica buckets to communities in its operational area.
