Lawyer Adu Darko to contest Asante-Akim Central seat as an independent candidate
A Young and ambitious Lawyer, Richard Adu Darko has declared his intentions to contest as a member of Parliament in the Asante Akyem Central Constituency come December 2020.
Speaking to press men and Supporters in Konongo, Adu Darko who is a corporate commercial legal practitioner formerly of AB & David Africa a prestigious law firm in Accra with branches in about seven African Countries said , calls from the chiefs, opinion leaders and masses who have suffered at the hands of politicians in Asante Akyem Central have necessitated his presence in the political scene.
“it is unfortunate we keep on voting for the same politicians who fail to bring us infrastructural development, jobs and opportunities for our people, he said.
He indicated that, he has come at this moment when the constituents are hungry for a visionary leader who will push the developmental agenda of the constituency to ensure they get their equitable share of the national cake. He further explained that he has been approached by opinion leaders, chiefs and the youth to represent them in parliament and he has listened to their call.
Lawyer Richard Adu Darko is a private legal practitioner who hails from Konongo, the municipal capital of the constituency.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Ghana, he holds a qualification in occupational health and safety from OSHA and the University of South Florida.
Lawyer Adu Darko has a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of London and Professional Law Qualification from the Ghana School of Law.
He recently resigned his position as Corporate Commercial litigation Lawyer with AB & David Africa in his quest to contest for the parliamentary seat.
