KIDI rejects reports that artists perform only in Accra and Kumasi, talks about his new EP

Afro pop artist, KIDI has rejected reports that Ghanaian musicians only perform in big cities like Accra and Kumasi.

KIDI who was speaking on Salt 95.9 FM said, the rumors were false that Ghanaian musicians perform in big cities alone. According to him, he has performed in almost every part of country.

The musician was reacting to a question from the host, Akua Sika who asked if he was selective in areas he performed.

‘I perform everywhere because I know my fans are not only in Accra and Kumasi. I have performed in almost every part of the country. Personally, I don’t reject gigs because they are not in the major cities. I take gigs everywhere.” – He said

The odo hitmaker also debunked stories that there is a brawl between him and his colleague, Kuami Eugene who are both on the same label

According to KIDI, there has never been a problem between him and Kuami. He said he could not understand why there are such stories out there.

KIDI also spoke about the release of his EP titled ‘Blue’. He said he chose that title because blue is his favorite color.

According to him, blue also signifies calmness and with everything that is happening around the world, he felt everybody needed a little bit of calmness in their lives. Hence his decision to give the EP that title.

‘Music makes people happy during this scary period because the News is always filled with stories of people contracting the virus and dying from it. So as a musician, I felt this is a way to contribute to the society by releasing this EP to entertain my fans.’ – he said on Salt Drive
