Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama, says he will be a better President than he was if he is elected President again in the country’s upcoming general elections.
The former President who is seeking a comeback says the few years spent out of office made him reflect on his performance and actions and he has now re-strategized and ready to correct some of the errors he committed while in office.
Speaking in an interview with Accra based Starr FM, Mr. Mahama said, “Ghanaians should choose John Mahama because he’s a person you can trust. What you see is what you get. I have the track record and I believe that having been president before, I’ll make a better president in my second term,”.
He added “One major regret I have is not speaking directly to the people during my time in office and so that vacuum was filled with a lot of propaganda. So This time when I come I will go round and directly speak to the people on what we are doing and some of our policies.”
Meanwhile the former President is optimistic that Ghanaians will give him and the NDC an opportunity in the upcoming general general election. He also urged for a peaceful and incident free elections.
