Ghanaian versatile sound engineer, John Kwesi Dosunmu-Mensah known widely as MOGBeatz has reacted to news of Wendy Shay’s new single, ‘Pray for the World’ being taken off YouTube for copyright infringement.
According to MOGBeatz who produced the song, he got very angry upon hearing that the song had been pulled down for copyright infringement because people had reported it to be similar to popular South African song Jerusalema by Master KG.
He said the song’s chord progression doesn’t match that of the popular South African song as it is being widely ascribed.
In a tweet earlier today, the renowned producer registered his displeasure for a growing trend aimed at sabotaging the art and craft of musicians in Ghana for fun.
He further appealled to all well-meaning Ghanaians to desist from this act as it does not only riducule the artistes but rather distort the progress of Ghana music.
