Fans of Salt FM hopeful of first RTP nomination

Pundits within Ashanti Region have expressed high hopes of Salt 95.9 FM grabbing its maiden nomination in this year’s RTP award. This advocacy is being led by listener fanbases in various sectors of the region — from Asante Akyem Agogo through Kumasi to part of the Eastern Region.

The RTP awards show is an annual event organized by Big Events Ghana. The event seeks to recognize and celebrate media outlets and personalities across the country for their immense contribution to the growth of the industry.

Loyal followers of Salt 95.9 FM, a subsidiary of Salt Media GH are very much hopeful of bagging a nomination and subsequently winning an award to celebrate the station for its contribution to the society and the media in Ghana.

Operating from Asante-Akyem Agogo in the Ashanti Region, Salt 95.9 FM has wowed many in the region and beyond with its community centred programming and professional presenters who educate, inform and entertain its audience.

Though new in the industry, the station has established itself by building a large following locally and globally through its broadcast on frequency, TuneIn Radio and social media.

Organizers open nominations for this year.

Big Events Ghana, organizers of the prestigious annual Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards have released the online nomination form for the 2020 edition of the awards, commencing the process and activities preceding the 10th edition of the awards for the year 2020.

The forms are open to Radio and Television personalities who have endeared themselves to the hearts of listeners, viewers and media critics – and have excelled in their respective fields within the year under contention.

The eligibility year for the 2020 RTP Awards is July 2019 to May 2020.

Persons eligible for filing of nomination are station managers on behalf of their presenters and individual presenters who wish to put themselves up for nomination.
