Coronavirus: Two new cases confirmed in the Northern Region

Two new cases of the novel Corona virus has been recorded in the Northern Region taking the total number of cases in the region to 15.

The information was confirmed by the Northern Regional Director of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. John Eleeza.

“We have two new cases confirmed. One in Tolon and one in Nanumba South. The cases will then become 15. One of them is the contact of one of the cases in the Oti Region,” he confirmed.

Dr. John Eleeza said the reason why the figure on the Ghana Health Service website is still 13 is because it takes quite long for the region to communicate to the national directorate.

“It takes time for us to send the information through our channel of communication to Accra.”

As at May 2, 2020, The Ghana Health Service had confirmed 2,169 with one new death and 17 new recoveries.
