Coronavirus: Six new deaths as confirmed cases rise to 23,834

The Ghana Health Service has reported there has been six new COVID-19 related deaths pushing the country’s death toll from 129 to 135.

The GHS indicated that, five of the latest deaths were people with underlying conditions. However, one person in the Northern Region died of no known underlying medical conditions.

The deaths were also recorded in Central, Oti and Western Region of Ghana.

Meanwhile, the country’s case count has now increased by 371 new cases bringing the total case count to 23,834.

The GHS also reported that 19,212 patients have recovered and been discharged.

Regional breakdown of confirmed cases:

The Greater Accra Region remains top of the chart as it has been since Ghana started recording cases.
