Coronavirus: Ghana’s case count sees an increase of 992; total now 21,077

Ghana’s case count has increased by 992 taking the total case count of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 21,077.

According to the Ghana Health Service, this covers a backlog between June 18 and July 1, 2020.

The new figures were contained in the latest update on the service’s website on Monday, July 6, 2020.

The number of recoveries have also increased to 16,070 while deaths have jumped to 129.

It means seven new deaths have been recorded since the last update.

The active Coronavirus cases in the country are now 4,878.

The Greater Accra continues to lead the chart followed by the Ashanti Region.

Eastern Region – 835

Upper East Region – 278

Western North Region – 154
