Coronavirus: Ghana’s case count near 40k

Ghana’s case count for the novel coronavirus has seen an increase of 567 new infections pushing the country’s case count to 39,642.

According to the Ghana Health Service, the cases were reported in the lab on August 3, 2020.

The service has also reported an increase in the number of clinical recoveries. 36,384 persons have so far recovered.

Ghana’s active case count has also reduced from 3,313 to 3,059 per the latest update.

Out of this number, eight are in a critical condition, four on ventilators, and 22 in severe condition.

A total of 407,588 tests have been conducted in the country since March 2020.
