Coronavirus: Ghana enters 2021 with 842 active cases

Ghana’s active cases of the novel coronavirus as it entered 2021 stood at 842, the Ghana Health Service has reported.
The West African nation has recorded 90 fresh cases taking the total case count to 54,771 since the virus was first imported into the country March 2020.
Of the number, 53,594 have recovered with the death toll increasing to 335.
Airport update
At least 655 cases have detected among international travelers at the Kotoka International Airport since 1 September of which 391 have recovered or discharged.
Reports from the GHS indicate that one individual is in a critical condition with 11 others being severe but none is on a ventilator.
