Coronavirus: Confirmed cases now 4,700 with 494 recoveries
Ghana’s case count for the novel Corona virus now stands at 4,700.
President Akufo-Addo announced this when he addressed the nation for the 9th time since Ghana recorded its first two cases.
There has not been any new deaths keeping the death toll at 22.
494 people have recovered in total.
“With our total number of infections standing at 4,700 with 494 recoveries, 5 persons being critically ill and 4,179 responding to treatment, 22 persons virtually all of them with underlying illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes and chronic liver disease have unhappily died,” the president said.
The President urged Citizens not to be alarmed by the recent increase in the number of cases. According to him this is as a result of an enhanced contact tracing.
