Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has announced its head office in Accra will be closed to the public for fumigation exercise after some staff tested positive for Covid-19.
The cases were recorded following a mass testing exercise.
The office will be closed from Wednesday, July 8, to Friday, July 10.
In a press statement signed by Joseph Boahen Aidoo, the CEO of the Board, on Monday, he explained that it “has become necessary due to the mass testing the organization is currently undertaking which has resulted in some staff members testing positive for COVID-19.”
“All necessary arrangements have been made for the affected staff to receive the necessary medical attention and contact tracing is currently ongoing to enforce quarantine and isolation measures,”- he added.
All individuals and companies with urgent business with the Ghana Cocoa Board have been advised to contact its online portal.
