C/R: Man killed and dumped on road, vehicles run over him at Abura Eprow

A 21-year-old Senior High School leaver has allegedly been killed and dumped on the road at Abura Eprow in the Central Region causing vehicles to run over him.

Reports say the deceased, Joe, who hails from Abura Dunkwa was going to stay with his father in Accra after completing Aburaman Senior High School.

His mother is said to have escorted him to board a vehicle at Abura Dunkwa lorry Station.

But after his mother had left for home, he reportedly alighted from the vehicle when he reached Abura Eprow to witness a Festival, unknown to his mother who thought he was enroute to Accra.

The Assembly Member of Abura Kwaman/Patoako Electoral Area Hon. Ebenezer Annobil who saw the lifeless body of the deceased being run over by several vehicles while on motorcycle on Saturday, December 2, 2023 evening at around 8:00 PM, stopped and directed vehicle to use the opposite route.

According to the Assembly Man, he suspects the deceased was killed and deposit at the Sharp curve on the road for people to suspect he was knocked down by vehicle.

It is believed he was killed because, he was stripped naked with his things he was traveling along removed from his bag with his ECOWAS card(Ghana) cards beside him.

The Abura Dunkwa Police command was informed after which officers went to the scene after conveyed the badly mutilated body to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and Preservation.

Meanwhile, the family has been informed of the incident and the police have commenced investigation.
