An Accra High Court will today sentence actress and social media personality Akuapem Poloo after she was convicted for publishing nude photos of herself and her son on social media.
Poloo’s conviction comes after she shared a naked picture with her son on Instagram celebrating his seventh birthday.
Rosemond Brown, also known as Akuapem Poloo, faces a possible fine of up to GHS 6,000 or a jail sentence not exceeding two years.
Sentencing was deferred by the presiding judge, Ms Christiana Cann to allow Akuapem Poloo undergo a pregnancy test.
Meanwhile, several celebrities have taken to social media to plead with he court not to sentence her to jail term.
One of such advocates is Sarkodie who believes a jail sentence will see Poloo being separated from her son.
“I think it’s a little harsh to separate a child from the mum just because of pictures taken… [I] would want to plead with the law to pardon our sister,” Sarkodie wrote on twitter.
